If you want to know just what you need to get your taxi through its test - You have come to the right place.

For the first time we have bought all the information together to help you get through the test - Hopefully first time

We have over 15 years experience of testing taxis for Solihull Council and are the only garage in the borough that can test longer wheelbase vehicles - Minibuses (Classes 5L & 7)

Our premises are clean and modern and you can watch your taxi being tested from a comfortable viewing lounge which has a range of books and magazines, a free hot drinks machine and clean toilets close to hand

We also make the promise that your test will be started on time and you wont be kept hanging around!

Taxi Test - What is it?

The test itself is in 2 parts, an MOT and a Supplementary Test with both having to be carried out at the same time. It generally takes no longer than 45min and we try to make the whole experience as pain free as possible

Early Arrival - Time to complete paperwork

Please bring your vehicle in for its test a few minutes early as the MOT system is computerised and we are testing vehicles every 45 min. If you are late (more than 5 min) you could well lose your slot and more seriously your test fee as we will not have sufficient time to finish the test before the next driver is due
